Greencity Campaign
Nowadays there is great focus on environmental protection, on the every-day fight to avoid the climate catastrophy. One of the most important goals of Agriapipe is to contribute with its activities to the creation of a better environment to live in.
The Greencity Campaign was created by Agriapipe to call the attention of the operators of the public utility pipe systems to the possibility of doinh something meaningful for the environment also in the field of pipe renovation. The aim of the campaign is to show the huge difference between the modern and environment-friendly trenchless pipe renovation technologies, in other words no dig technologies and the traditional digging methods that have great impact on the environment. The comparison is based on the number of days each technology requires and the amount of the greenhouse gases emitted while renovating the pipe system.
The users get to know in a playful way the size of the carbon footprint of each no dig technology in comparison to the digging pipe renovation methods. The users are responsible of the operation, maintenance and renovation of the pipe systems of a city, namely Green City. S/he decides which pipe sytsem to renovate with which technology. At the end of the renovation the user can make a guess about the impact of the chosen technology having on the environment.
